My grandmother used to keep bees, and all of us tried to come up with new ways to use honey. This recipe is my contribution to the effort. I've been making them for about 20 years, with no complaints and lots of rave reviews.
Ingredients | Bit Of Honey Butter Gloss2 eggs½ cup brown sugar½ cup honey2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice1 teaspoon grated lemon zest½ teaspoon ground cinnamon¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg¼ teaspoon salt⅓ cup butter, melted18 (2 inch) unbaked tart shellsDirectionsPreheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).Beat eggs in a large bowl. Stir in brown sugar, honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Blend in melted butter.
